Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 saw the delivery of our latest round of R&J training & education to our officials.
The training was delivered under the expert tutelage of Andy Caulfield, a current AIBA trainer & evaluator who travels the World evaluating the best referees and judges.
In what was an action packed two days, the officials present benefitted from both classroom and practical based learning scenarios despite the attrocious weather conditions outside. Those in attendance were also presented with the newly published AIBA R&J handbook which is aimed at providing tips and guidance to all our working officials.
Thank you to all those who have taken the time to attend the last two training & education days and we hope to see more officials present at our next one. This will take place either at the end of April or early May 2018 – further details will be provided in due course.
As part of our ongoing committment to the education and development of our officials which ultimately benefits our boxers in the ring, we would encourage as many of our registered R&J to attend future sessions. Our aims are to standardise the delivery of R&J training/education across the country as much as possible, improve the knowledge, exeperience and understanding of our officials, to encourage new young officials into the sport of Boxing and to provide a progressive and rewarding pathway to all those involved.
