JACOBITE Boxing Club have successfully received £1,800 from the Third Sector Resilience Fund.
The Northern District Club, which is based 15 miles east of Inverness in the town of Nairn, successfully applied to the Fund after being alerted to it by Boxing Scotland.
Head Coach Bobby Russell revealed the money, which was distributed by the Corra Foundation, will play a huge role in assisting the club during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Third Sector Resilience Fund is a £20m Emergency Fund for community groups and voluntary organisations, such as amateur boxing clubs, to apply for to keep themselves afloat during this pandemic; (https://scvo.org.uk/support/coronavirus/funding/scottish-government/third-sector-resilience-fund)
