2012 Novice Championships – Message of Thanks

October 22, 2012 By Paul Coleman

Following the completion of an incredible 159 bouts over the first two days of the 2012 ABS Novice Championships, I would like to extend my thanks to all Boxers, Coaches, Referees, Judges, Computer Operators and staff who gave up their time to make our biggest ever championships a tremendous success.

I would also like to extend a special thanks to the volunteers and runners who gave up their time over the weekend to ensure the event ran smoothly. Amateur Boxing Scotland’s volunteers are involved through their love of the sport; and the enthusiasm and dedication shown by these individuals helps us to achieve our objectives of increasing the popularity of the sport and developing boxers to give Scotland the strongest pool of athletes possible for Glasgow 2014 and beyond.

Without this support, events such as the Novice Championships simply would not happen.

I hope everyone in attendance enjoyed the first two days of the 2012 Novice Championships as we look forward to the third and last day of the event on Sunday 28 October 2012.

Best Regards

Richard Thomas

Chairman,  Amateur Boxing Scotland
