Igor Sliwinski (SCO) V Alijaksandr Vashchyika (BLR)
Round one was a pretty even round with Igor and the southpaw Belarussian having some success.
Igor was landing some decent head and body bent arm shots while his opponent had success with straight back hands meaning there was very little to separate the two boxers
In round two, the more experienced Vashchyika started to pick up the pace and was moving more fluently and composed than Igor who was still getting some good scoring shots on target but it was his opponent who just shaded the round.
Igor really pushed on at the start of round three as he knew it that he had to win it to have any chance in getting the decision. He threw plenty of shots but most were blocked by his opponent who had some success with his own punches. A good all round contest and although Igor lost, it was to a very decent opponent who could easily progress to the latter stages of this very tough Championship.
