Word has reached from Sofia, Bulgaria that the first of three Scots competing, Connal McDonald, has won his opening bout.
Connal, competing in the 91kg weight category, was up against a capable opponent in Paul Kovacs of Australia and won 3:0 with a very accomplished performance.
Our coaches have reported that Connal’s higher work rate and landing of more accurate punches effectively wore his opponent down – A great performance from Connal.
