In the meantime, were are pleased to bring you the bout reports from yesterdays action:
Session 5 – Wednesday 31st of July 2013 14.00hrs
54 kg – Craig Morgan (Scotland) v Jakub Karol (Poland)
Round 1
From the opening bell Craig took the contest to the Polish Boxer, which is essential in this type of contest. Craig constantly drove the Polish Boxer onto his back foot and kept him there with his right left combination’s. Craig’s round
Round 2
Again we had a Boxer in Craig who couldn’t wait for the bell to ring for the next round, so that he can take over from where he left off in the previous round. Craig never gave the Polish Boxer a chance to work on his game plan. The Polish Boxer was feeling the pressure of Craig’s attacks and the Referee was looking at the Pole as if he was getting ready to stop the contest. Craig’s round.
Round 3
Craig would have had instruction’s from the corner to do what he did in the last round. Before we knew it the contest was stopped! TKO
Winner – Craig Morgan (Scotland) TKO 3
59 kg – Tyler Jolly (Scotland) v Edan Sadah (Israel)
There is a saying in Boxing “Be First” and that is how Tyler started this contest and continued to dominate it with hard shots to the target area. This approach resulted in the Boxer from Israel receiving a count. Tyler’s round.
Round 2
Again the instruction’s from the corner would be, do what you did in round 1 – Tyler duly obliged and the contest was stopped. TKO
Winner – Tyler Jolly (Scotland) TKO 2
68kg – Jonlee Joyce (Joyce) v Arkadll Kartsan (Ukraine)
Round 1
Jonlee made a good start to the round, taking the contest to the Ukrainian who was a very good Boxer. Both Boxers were delivering a variety of shots to the target area, Jonlee’s right hook being a factor. Close round.
Round 2
Following the same pattern as the first, again no quarter given here. Close round.
Round 3
In the last round both Boxers really went for it giving there all and matching the standard of the Tournament in general. Close round
Winner – Arkadll Kartsan (Ukraine)
