ABS is delighted to report there has been an unprecedented recent surge of clubs participating in the Cashback programme. By the end of October 2012 no fewer than 30 clubs will be delivering free sessions throughout Scotland, introducing a whole new generation of 10 – 19 year olds into the sport of amateur boxing.
With approximately a quarter of ABS affiliated clubs now involved, the benefits to local communities are set to grow significantly.
A big thank you from ABS and the amateur boxing community must go to all 30 clubs for embracing the programme and helping towards increased participation within our sport:
Northern District: Byron ABC, Elgin ABC, Fair City ABC, Highland Boxing Academy ABC, Claymores ABC, Peterhead ABC.
Eastern District: 1314 ABC, Cardenden ABC, Chirnside ABC, Denbeath ABC, East Lothian ABC, Hawick ABC, Kingdom ABC, Leith Victoria AAC, Livingston & District ABC, Meadowbank ABC, Zetland ABC.

Once the Academy boxers have completed the 2 phases of the programme, one of the 4 options they are given is to register for their club to become a competitive boxer.
With the Novice Championships only just around the corner (20th & 21st Oct 2012), ABS has witnessed a record number of entries since its creation.
An amazing 437 boxers have entered into the 2012 ABS Novice Championships; approximately 15% of this increase is due to boxers ‘graduating’ from the Cashback Academy programme.
ABS and all involved in the Cashback programme are all eagerly awaiting the first ‘Cashback’ Scottish Champion………..good luck to all those participating!
