Please find below links to planned 2011 ABS training and competition calendars for the Development Commission, Youths and Seniors. These have been marked as draft for the time being as they may be subject to change or addition as the year progresses.
These have been expertly developed by the ABS Performance Co-ordinator, Mike Keane, and the Development Commission Head of Coaching and Selection, Danny Lee. These thorough programmes aim to provide our boxers with a comprehensive 2011 preparation programme via co-ordinated national training and residential camps.
Our boxers will be given challenging and fantastic opportunities to attend, and gain vital experience at, competitions such as the 2011 Junior World Championships in Astana Kazakhstan, the 2011 European Junior Championships in Hungary, the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Isle of Man and the 2011 World Senior Championships in Baku Azerbaijan. It is imperative ABS sends boxers to competitions such as these with Glasgow 2014 in mind.
The calendars can also be downloaded from the Documents section of the website
The final document is a generic ABS calendar which runs to from June 2011 to May 2012. This is to give information on planned National events and meeting dates.
