Andrew Caulfield achieves his Olympic dream

July 23, 2012 By Paul Coleman

ABS is pleased to announce the confirmed selection of Mr Andrew Caulfield, of the Kinross ABC, as one of the AIBA Referees and Judges who will officiate at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Following an extensive and thorough evaluation process, AIBA concluded that Andrew’s experience and knowledge of judging boxers’ performances in the ring from previous AIBA events, coupled with his ethics and loyalty to both AIBA and boxing would be invaluable at this summers’ Olympic Games.

As part of the rigorous training process, Andrew was invited to attend an Olympic Workshop which was held in Italy at the start of June 2012. Following this, Andrew was informed of his successful graduation from the workshop which officially qualified him as an Olympic R&J.

Andrew will travel to London on 25 July 2012 and will be there for the duration of the 2012 London Olympic Games until 13 August 2012. He is one of 36 people chosen to officiate in both the Male and Female bouts.

ABS would like to congratulate Andrew on achieving his lifetime ambition of officiating at the 2012 Olympic Games.
