Golden Gloves Championships 2026 – Event Guide

February 20, 2026 By Ben Holme

The Boxing Scotland Golden Gloves Championships will get underway this weekend at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell.

Please see below an Event Guide that has been produced with further information on the competition for clubs, coaches, boxers and spectators.

The Event Guide covers the weekends of 21st/22nd February, 28thFebruary/1st March and 14th/15h March only. A separate Event Guide will be produced for the Elite Golden Gloves Finals on Saturday 21st March 2026.

Key information within the Event Guide include;

Boxer Weigh-in times; (Please note, boxers only weigh-in on days that they are scheduled to compete)

Scales are open from 8-10am each day, with boxing commencing from 11am.

There will be NO weight allowance for all boxers in this competition.

Spectator Prices; (Tickets can only be purchased at the door of the event)

Adult: 1 Day – £20, 2 Day – £35.

Children Under-16: 1 Day – £10, 2 Day – £15.

Two-day tickets only cover one weekend of boxing, and are not transferable over both weekends.

Boxers will be granted free access to the venue on weekends that they compete in the Championships. For example, if a boxer competes on Saturday, they will be allowed free access to the venue on Sunday and vice versa. This only covers weekends that the boxer is set to compete, and not the duration of the Championships. The boxers should approach the ticket desk for entry, who will have a list of boxers who are eligible for access on that day.

Hand Wraps;

For Elite boxers only, professional style hand wraps are mandatory for this competition. Schools, Junior and Youth boxers are not allowed to wear professional style hand wraps.

Golden Gloves Championships 2026 – Official Withdrawal List

February 20, 2026 By Ben Holme

We have received a number of withdrawals for boxers that were included in the Final Entry List/draw for the Boxing Scotland Golden Gloves Championships 2026.

The Official Withdrawal List for the competition can be found at the bottom of this post.

Please note, the published Running Orders for the competition will not be amended, so it is the club’s responsibility to cross reference with the withdrawal list to know if their boxer will no longer be competing on a set day.

If an opponent is on the withdrawal list then your club’s boxer will be given a walkover into the next round.

If your boxer has a walkover then your boxer will not need to weigh-in on that day, despite being on the published Running Order, as boxers will only weigh-in on days that they compete.

If the bout was a straight final then unfortunately your boxer will not have a bout at the competition. Please note, boxers must compete in at least one bout in the competition in order to win a medal.

We will continue to update this list as and when we receive withdrawals. We would recommend that club’s bookmark the web page and check regularly, as all changes will be added to the same post.

If clubs have any further withdrawals then please e-mail competitions@boxingscotland.org as early as possible.

Only confirmations sent to the above e-mail address will be accepted.

When sending, please list;

  • Boxer name
  • Club Name
  • Category
  • Weight

Please note, only names listed on the withdrawal list have been officially withdrawn from the competition. If a club reaches out to inform you of a withdrawal which affects your boxer, it is only official if they are on the below list.

Golden Gloves Championships 2026 – Official Withdrawal List (last updated Saturday 14th March at 5:20pm. Please note, withdrawals from the opening five days of the Championships have been removed from the Withdrawal List);

The Final will take place on either 14th/15th/21st March at Ravenscraig alongside the Elite Golden Gloves Championships bouts.

Additionally, no seeding was used for this season’s Elite competition. This was due in part to the changing of weight categories to World Boxing weights for this year’s Championships, and the lack of qualifying seeds.
