Boxing Scotland Emerging Talent Training update

June 2, 2014 By Paul Coleman

Boxing Scotland LogoWe are pleased to report that our Emerging Talent training was well attended over Saturday 31 May 2014 and Sunday 01 June 2014.

22 of our best junior boxers showed up in force at our Bridgeton High Performance in Glasgow for two intensive sessions on Saturday 31 May.

The bulk of the morning session consisted of track work where the boxers fitness was tested through a series of 400m and 800m runs followed almost immediately by a comprehensive gym test.

The afternoon session then saw the boxers carry out themed shadow boxing against different styles/opponents, technical and open sparring, various bag and pad work where the main theme was feinting and footwork.

A further two sessions took part on Sunday 1st June by way of regional training – The session held in the west had 13 boxers in attendance and 14 boxers attended the session delivered in the east.

Further training session details will be posted shortly.
