Boxing Scotland is delighted to share a major change in our Governance which is being adopted following Membership feedback.
Five new National Committees will be formed to ensure that the views of our members are at the heart of our decision making.
The new Committees are as follows;
- Boxing Scotland National Officials Committee
- Boxing Scotland National Coaches Committee
- Boxing Scotland National Championships Committee
- Boxing Scotland National Athletes Committee
- Boxing Scotland District Rules & Regulations Committee

Boxing Scotland National Committees Structure
An application process is now open for the first four National Committees, with each Committee to be comprised of two representatives from each District (Northern, Eastern & Western) along with a Boxing Scotland staff member to create a committee of seven.
The Boxing Scotland District Rules & Regulations Committee will not be subject to an application process but will instead be automatically fulfilled by the elected President and Secretary of each District.
The deadline for applications is at Noon on Friday 22nd November 2024, with the Committees set to be appointed in December 2024, before convening for their first meeting in January 2025.
Individuals can apply to be on more than one Committee, however it is our intention to have different individuals sitting on different Committees in order to get as wide of a variety of views and opinions from the membership as possible.
The new National Committees have been formed following feedback from the Boxing Scotland 2024 Membership Survey which took place earlier this year.
It was clear from the responses that a change was necessary to ensure that Boxing Scotland better considered and consulted the feedback of members before making decisions.
These new National Committees will address this concern by providing a consistent and direct line of communication between various strands of the membership and Boxing Scotland and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to good governance.
