Dear Clubs, Coaches and Members,
We are now able to confirm more details regarding the 2023-24 Boxing Scotland Youth & Elite Golden Gloves Championships.
An administrative document has been produced and we would advise clubs to familiarise themselves with it ahead of the Championships getting underway.
The Championships will be held at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell on the weekends of 16th/17th and 23rd/24th March 2024 at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell.
A link to the document can be found at the bottom of this post.
Some of the key information from the document includes;
Boxer Weigh-in times; (Boxers only weigh-in on days that they compete)
Saturday and Sunday: 0800 – 1000. Boxing will commence at 1100.
Please note, there will be NO weight allowance for all boxers for Golden Gloves/Open Class competitions from this season forward, including this tournament.
Additionally, Under-18 boxers do not need to weigh-in wearing a vest/shorts as they did last season.

All coaches in the field of play and warm-up areas must be a registered 2023/24 Boxing Scotland coach.
Where a club is found to have bypassed these procedures by allowing unregistered coaches into the team warm up areas or access to the field of play the offending club will be fined £100 for their actions.
Also, the Coaches Code of Conduct must be always adhered to. No forms of abuse will be tolerated, and the disciplinary process will be followed.
Coach bands;
The Coach Band process will follow the same rules as the previous Championships ie the number of Coach Bands allocated to clubs on each day of the competition will be based on the number of Boxers that club has competing on that day, as well as the number of Boxing Scotland Registered Coaches your club has. Coaches must bring their 2023-24 Coach Badge to the ticket desk between 8:30am-10am each morning in order to receive a Coach Band.
