BSL R&J Training Information

April 21, 2016 By Paul Coleman

Dear BSL Referees & Judges

The training, education and attracting of new R&J remains an extremely important matter for us from club level shows right up to international level.

With this in mind, we would like to extend an open invite to all our Officials to attend R&J training on the weekend of 10 & 11 September 2016 in our Glasgow High Performance Centre. This will also include specific training for Supervisors and Timekeepers.

We aim to commit to providing two training sessions per year to our Officials – A generic training session at the beginning of season in September and more specific training in April/May each year following the conclusion of our national championships and subsequent analysis of our Officials performances.

We also aspire to host a further AIBA one star assessment course during next year’s Scottish Elite Championships and will make a further announcement on this in due course.

We hugely value the volunteer time and commitment our officials contribute towards the successful running of events and would encourage all club committees to ensure their working official(s) attend and embrace this training on an ongoing basis and with the very best interests of our sport in mind.

All current working officials should contact the Boxing Scotland Office on 0845 241 7016 or email fraser.walker@boxingscotland.org to confirm their attendance at one the planned training days.

Best Regards

Fraser Walker
