We are just back from the opening ceremony and it was nothing short of amazing, what an experience for us all when we walked in to the main stadium it was the best sporting feeling I’ve had along with the other boys saying the same. Once we did our lap we got seated and just soaked in the atmosphere and watched other teams enter. Once all the teams had entered they started with the dancing shows with was different to what where used to but still enjoyable for a while. All in all the opening ceromony was an amazing experience for all the boys and everyone of us enjoyed it.
Now we are closing in on the competition its starting to get serious for us with weight making starting to focus on purely boxing. We have a weigh in Monday morning then the draw will be made an we will all know when and who we are fighting all the lads are on there weights ready for the scales and all are looking very sharp in training. The coaches and team manager are doing a great job for us and the Scotland officals are brilliant always there to help. I will post another blog after the weigh in has been done along with the draws at each weight etc.
