Following the announcement on 21st August by the Scottish Government. We are extremely delighted to announce the first move to the indoor resumption of our sport.
Updated Phase 3 guidance will begin with the ability to train an increased number of individuals outdoors (up to 30) along with the removal of restrictions with the number of households from on today Monday 24th August.
There are changes with regards to the numbers of Adults and Children that can be trained during a session, so please read the following guidelines carefully.
The Major Change we have all been waiting for will begin on Monday 31st of August, with the resumption of indoor activity.
Test and Protect is Scotland’s approach to implementing the ‘test, trace, isolate, support strategy’, is a public health measure designed to break chains of transmission of COVID-19 in the community. It is imperative that clubs follow the registration process with the requirements for contact tracing which is a process for identifying people at risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection because they‘ve been physically close enough to a person who has tested positive. These people will be given the advice to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
It is a mandatory requirement that clubs collect the name, contact number, date of visit, time of arrival, and where possible the departure time of all those attending facilities or activities. Where attending as a small household group, the contact details for one member – a ‘lead member’ – will be sufficient.
Clubs should store information for 21 days only and share it when requested to do so by public health officers.
All COVID-19 Documentation can be found on the home website page. There is now a COVID-19 page and all documentation can be found here.
A reminder that Indoor Physical Activity is not sanctioned until the 31st of August.
The latest Government approved guidance for everyone’s information regarding Phase 3 with all updates highlighted in red in the guidance.
It is mandatory that all clubs have a COVID-19 Co-ordinator. Role Descriptors must be completed and these documents must be held by the Regional Development Officer.
As always if there is any doubt or ambiguity around any of the guidance please do not hesitate to contact your Regional Development Officer for further clarification.
