ENTRIES for the biggest grassroots boxing competition in the UK are now open.
Entries are now being accepted for the 2024/25 Boxing Scotland Development A&B Championships from all of our 117 affiliated clubs.
This competition will be held on the weekends of 18th/19th/20th and 26th/27th October 2024 at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell.
This competition has attracted more than 700 entries in each of the past three seasons, and we are expecting another big competition this year.
The entry requirements for the competition are as follows;
Development A – 0-3 Bouts
Development B – 4-6 Bouts
Entries close at Noon on Monday 7th October 2024. There will no extensions to this deadline.
Boxing Scotland are also delighted to share the following changes for our National Championships following membership feedback through our membership surveys.
1) Boxers who are not entered into the competition draw, either by virtue of being a single entry or due to withdrawal, will receive a full refund of their entry fee. This refund will only be valid for boxers who are not included in the competition draw.
2) Boxers will be granted free access to the venue on weekends that they compete in the Championships. For example, if a boxer competes on Saturday, they will be allowed free access to the venue on Sunday and vice versa. This only covers weekends that the boxer is set to compete, and not the duration of the Championships.
ENTRIES INFORMATION:
Competition Dates;
Week One – Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October 2024.
Week Two – Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October 2024.
It is the responsibility of the Club submitting the form to ensure the details are correct. Boxers will not be moved categories due to an error at the time of submission. Any entries received which are not fully complete will not be entered into the event.
Boxers cannot enter into categories not specified on the entry form.
A Boxer can only enter to compete in one weight category.
Where a boxer has been entered and is a single entry in that age and weight category, the club will be given the opportunity to have the boxer moved one weight classification up or down once the Entries have closed. Where a boxer has entered in a weight category that has at least one other entry they will remain in their chosen weight category.

Boxing Scotland DOES NOT guarantee boxers entered will compete at the Championships. This is dependent on the number of entries received, the draw, in addition to the boxers attending the weigh-in and making their championship weight.
NOTE: In order to guarantee that boxers/coaches have the necessary registration books/coaching badges processed and returned to them in time for the Championships, paperwork must be received into the Boxing Scotland Office at least 14 WORKING DAYS before the Championships commence, i.e. Friday 4th October 2024. No books/badges will be distributed at the Championships.
Please note, Boxing Scotland would highly recommend that that club saves their entries as a pdf, which the club will be given the option to do so after each submission on Microsoft Forms.
If there is any discrepancy regarding the entry (ie entry not listed/wrong weight category) the pdf of the entry submission will need to be provided by the club to Boxing Scotland as evidence.
If the club notices that any details in the entry is wrong, please e-mail competitions@boxingscotland.org before entries close at Noon on Monday 7th October 2024 and these can be changed.
