Promoting and Developing Boxing In Scotland
BOXING SCOTLAND ANNOUNCE A RETURN TO BOXING
After what has been the most demanding of years for all involved in the sport of boxing, we as your National Governing Body wanted to bring forward some exciting news for clubs and members. Boxing Scotland has set a date for the ‘return to competitive boxing’. On Saturday 21st August we will see our grassroots Schools and Junior boxers compete again for the first time in more than 14 months.
This will be in a prestigious, one-off, open class pilot event for School and Junior boxers. The event will be held at our new look National High-Performance Centre for a full competitive day of boxing.
Details to follow for this exciting up and coming event Please be aware that these and any future BSL event dates are all dependant on the Scottish Governments roadmap and current COVID direction being on track issued by sportscotland. In the event of any changes out of our control, we will amend the diary and forecast accordingly.
All dates below are for the 2021/2022 season (following current guidelines).
We have taken the decision not to reschedule the events from last year as we calculated that this would take an additional eight weekends away from clubs wishing to hold their own club events as well as limiting dates for District Championships. In the lead up to these events, we will be holding webinars with members of our Performance Team to give guidance and a safe systems approach for a return to training (RTT).

Boxing Scotland National School and Junior Championships will be held over the following weekends:
Preliminary rounds – Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th, Semis and finals Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September. Any overspill days will be advertised once we have knowledge of these.
A warm welcome back to competitive boxing from all at Boxing Scotland.
