First ever Cashback Assessment a great success!!

March 20, 2012 By Paul Coleman

Monday 19th March 2012 saw the first Cashback Amateur Boxing Academy Assessment take place at Kinlochleven High School. Academy boxers from the local Nether Lochaber ABC produced an outstanding display of talent in front of family and friends who gave fantastic support throughout. The display started with the youngsters demonstrating a typical warm-up routine they carry out during their free boxing sessions, followed by various skill drills and games which the Academy uses to develop and enhance boxing technique. Finally, the boxers were assessed on stance, guard and footwork then their full repertoire of punches and defences they have been taught in the Academy.

The Assessment was a great success, with all the Nether Lochaber Academy boxers passing their assessment thus being rewarded with an Academy certificate and a Cashback bag containing hoodie and water bottle.

Amateur Boxing Scotland would like to thank Mr John McGlip (Headteacher – Kinlochleven High School) for providing the facilities for the Assessment.

Furher assessments this week:

Tuesday 20th March at 1900hrs – Caol Community Centre, Fort William (Lochaber Pheonix ABC) Wednesday 21st March at 1930hrs – Aberdeen Sports Village (Byron ABC, Peterhead ABC) Friday 23rd March at 1930hrs – Meadowbank Sports Centre (Argo ABC, Duries ABC. Greenock ABC, Meadowbank ABC and Zetland ABC).

Come along and show your support!

Cashback Coordinator
