First Ministers Announcement Monday 4th January 2021

January 5, 2021 By Paul Coleman

Dear Members,

Following on from yesterday’s announcement by the First Minister and the Scottish Government on 4th January 2021. These latest restrictions have been placed in an attempt to curb the spread of the new coronavirus strain.

The current situation remains an extremely difficult period for us all. We would like to assure the membership that we will continue to work and liaise closely with the Scottish Government and sportscotland to update necessary guidance documents.  We will ensure that they are tailored towards these restrictions, which will be published in the coming days. Once the details of today’s announcement have been fully considered, we will ensure that the updated guidance documents are made available to our members.

These latest changes follow on from the UPDATE – On 26th December 2020 where the Scottish Government applied Level 4 Restrictions to the whole of mainland Scotland.

We all continue to share the common responsibility; of ensuring the safety of our boxers, coaches, officials, and their families.

In the meantime, please continue to stay safe.
