ABS hosted a GB Schoolboy preparation camp at the Inverclyde National Sports, Centre led by Danny Lee on 22-24 June 2012. A total of 14 boxers were present for the weekend which saw them put through their paces.
There were a total of six demanding sessions held over the course of the weekend. The boxers arrived on the Friday evening between 16:30-17:00hrs then were given a team talking focusing on various do’s and dont’s.
One session was held on Friday evening, then a further four on Saturday then Sunday saw the conclusion of the camp with a further session.
All sessions featured a warm-up, stretch, sparring, various technical and tactical work and warm downs.
All the coaches present commended the hard work and commitment the boxers throughout the weekend.
The team for the GB Schoolboys will depart for Wales on 05 July 2012 and compete in the tournament on 6-7 July 2012.
