Boxing Scotland is committed to supporting its member boxing clubs with planning and preparation throughout each phase of the Government’s COVID-19 route map. We recognise that, due to the indoor contact nature, boxing is likely to be one of the final sports to return to ‘full activity’. However, it is critical that the anticipated, partial or phased, reopening of boxing gyms is carefully planned as far in advance as possible.
As a result, we have developed a guidance document based upon sportscotland’s “Getting your Facilities Fit for Sport”, which includes a four-stage best practice plan.
This is intended for the owners and operators of member clubs and boxing gyms, however, it can be adapted to support other planning based work being undertaken by clubs and community organisations as they prepare for participation in the sport to resume.
