Following a contentious decision at the GB Championships two weeks ago, Josh Taylor (Lochend ABC) enjoyed a triumphant return to the Capital in the final of the London International Invitational held in the Excel Arena on 27 November 2011.

After a busy opening round which the Swedish 2012 Olympic qualifier edged 3-2, Josh came into his stride in the second, scoring with straight shots and hooking to good effect to move into a close 9-8 lead going into the last. It was a frantic final three minutes with both boxers going full speed for the win, but it was the man from Prestonpans that took the win by the narrowest of margins. A fantastic gold for Josh by a margin of 13-10.
