No rest for the wicked!
National Coach, Mike Keane has been in touch from Belgrade, Serbia, to inform ABS that five Scottish boxers who have so far been eliminated from the Tournament, have been taking part in an organised sparring session with their Australian and Czech counterparts. The session held around 10am UK time this morning, provided some excellent sparring for all involved, and adds to the preperation for the upcoming GB Championships. There is another session planned for tomorrow, with a few other countries showing an interest, after watching this mornings session.
Scotland’s last remaining competitor in the Belgrade Winner Tournament, Kieran Smith, boxes later today, in his Semi-Final against Evgeny Shvedenko, from Russia. Mike Keane said Kieran has had a good nights sleep, and is looking forward to his contest.
Let’s hope Kieran produces another winning performance, to progress to the Final.
