Membership Consultation regarding current international boxing situation

July 26, 2023 By Ben Holme

Dear Members,

Boxing Scotland will be hosting two drop-in Membership consultation meetings next week regarding the current international situation in amateur boxing.

As some of you may be aware, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently voted to expel the International Boxing Association (IBA) from the Olympic movement, while a separate international association, World Boxing, has been formed.

This is an opportunity for members to discuss any questions they may have and to put forward their points of view regarding the current international situation.

These drop-in meetings will take place at the Boxing Scotland High Performance Centre in Bridgeton, Glasgow (G40 2QH) on Monday 31st July between 10am-Noon and 1pm-3pm.

Members of the Boxing Scotland Board of Directors and senior staff will be present to discuss with.

As these are drop-in sessions, members do not have to pre-book a time slot in order to come along.

However, please note, these drop-in sessions are for discussing the present international situation only, and other matters regarding Boxing Scotland will not be discussed during these meetings.

Regards,

Boxing Scotland
