We hope you all are enjoying the return of the sport as club shows recommence across the country.
However, with that in mind, Boxing Scotland is keen to stress that the timeline for processing registrations is 14 working days.
Due to Covid, Boxing Scotland staff are only in the office part-time at present, which means it is more challenging to process the registrations.
We have experienced a number of clubs from all Districts sending in registrations which are expected to be ready in a matter of days.
Whilst we will always do our best to make sure that registrations are processed as fast as possible, due to the sheer volume received, and staff not being in the office full-time, shorter deadlines than 14 working days may not be possible.
Boxing Scotland would also like to refer members to what is stated in the 2021-22 Club Pack; “Under no circumstances should boxers be matched or entered into shows or championships prior to being issued with their SME2 Boxers Record Card. Club Matchmakers and Coaches should not be matching Boxers without the updated SME2 (Boxer’s record card) held by the Club.”
Please also note, to prevent any further delays to registrations being processed;
– The SME1 medical form must be the most up to date version, which is currently Version 5. Any other versions will not be accepted.
– That new registration books must contain two passport photos. A number of recent registrations received have only contained one photo.
Furthermore, if any club is wishing to make an appointment to come to the High Performance Centre to collect documents they must do so through the Enquiries e-mail – firstname.lastname@example.org Members who arrive without an appointment will not be seen.
