Schoolboy & Junior Championship Entries 2011

March 3, 2011 By Paul Coleman

ABS will be staging the 2011 Schoolboy and Junior Championships on 02 and 03 April 20011. We have expanded the weight categories for Schoolboys to allow more boxers to compete for a national title. The entry form can be downloaded via the link below or via the Documents section of the website.

Schoolboy Junior Entry Form 2011

Please note, forĀ 1995 born Juniors all weight categories will be in accordance with the AIBA Technical and Competition rules.

We would also like to remind those involved that this is an Open Class event and our recommendation is that no boxer with less than six competitive bouts is entered. ABS will make it the responsibility of club coaches to assess their boxers suitability to compete in the School/Junior Championships.

ABS must consider the health and safety of the boxer at all times and is aware certain weight categories may not offer such strength and depth to provide boxers with more bouts. At this time, ABS has resisted implementing a blanket eligibility rule and therefore uphold the minimum of six bouts rule in order to compete in the Scottish School/Junior Championships.
