Scottish Senior, Women’s and Youth Championships 2011

February 15, 2011 By Paul Coleman

ABS would like to issue a final reminder that the entries deadline for the Youth, Women’s and Senior Scottish Championships is 17:00 hrs on Wednesday 16 February 2011.

We would also like to remind everyone this is an Open Class event and our recommendation is that no boxer with less than six competitive bouts is entered. ABS will leave it up to club coaches to assess their boxers suitability to compete in the Senior Championships.

ABS must consider the health and safety of the boxer at all times and is aware certain weight categories may not offer such strength and depth to provide boxers with more bouts. At this time, ABS has resisted implementing a blanket eligibility rule where boxers must have a minimum of six bouts to compete in the Scottish Senior Championships.
