IT IS with regret that Boxing Scotland has to share that Stewart Ferguson has departed from his role as East Region Development Officer to take up a new job opportunity.
Stewart joined Boxing Scotland in August 2019 and made an immediate impact as the sport was halted in the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic, helping to assist clubs with sourcing and securing essential funding.
As the sport returned to action in the 2021-22 season, Stewart played a vital role in the modernisation and success of our National Championships, in addition to his principal role of assisting all of the clubs in the East District.
Boxing Scotland Chief Operating Officer Marianne Crichton said: “On behalf of everyone at Boxing Scotland, I would like to thank Stewart for his contributions to the organisation over the past few years.
“I know that Stewart will continue to be involved in the sport in a voluntary capacity and we look forward to welcoming him at our National Championships in the future.”
