Boxing Scotland will be delivering an online Virtual Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport workshop which will be held on Wednesday 22nd September from 1800-2100. This course replaced the old-style ‘Safeguarding and Protecting in Children Course. We only have 15 spaces remaining so places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. We do have further dates in 26th Oct and the 23rd November.
A reminder that the course has changed, and certificates will only be dispatched when individuals complete both modules via their online login page. That is Module 1 a 30–45-minute online E-learning session followed by the 3-hour virtual workshop. Module 1 must be completed in the lead-up to the virtual workshop.
CWPS replaces UK Coaching’s, Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop (SPC), which will no longer be delivered through sportscotland. CWPS takes a blended learning approach:
Module 1 is theory-based eLearning and must be completed before attending Module 2. Online access will be granted to module 1 a week before module 2.
Module 2 a 3 hour Virtually delivered scenario-based learning.
Access to module 1: Brightspace
sportscotland has recently developed a new registration and certification process using a virtual learning environment – “Brightspace”.
Attendees/Learners will be set up on Brightspace, which is where Module 1 can be completed. You will be sent an email directly from Brightspace, titled sportscotland: Enrolment Confirmation this will come from: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport (CWPS)
To secure a place in the course payments must be received by 1500 FRIDAY 17th September 21.
The cost of the course will be £15 per individual for affiliated Clubs and £20 per individual for non-affiliated clubs. Payment can be made either by Cheque to Boxing Scotland Limited or bacs transfer to Boxing Scotland Ltd. If you or your clubs intend to pay via bacs transfer, please reference with your name of club or individual. Payment must be made before 1500 Monday 5th July 21.

All Coaches must hold an in-date Safeguarding Certificate or Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport Certificate. (3 Years)
Once you have completed module 1 and attended module 2, your Tutor will approve the release of your certificate. The CWPS Certificate will be available to download and copy/print from your Brightspace portfolio within 24 hours of completing the workshop. No posted Certificate will be sent.
